12 Days of Baby Yoda: A Gift Guide

*Cue Darlene Love/Mariah Carey.*

We don’t want a lot for Christmas. There is just one thing we need.

We don’t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree.

We just want you for our own. More than you will ever know.

Make our wish come true. Oh, all we want for Christmas is you, Ba-a-by Yoda.

If you’ve been watching the Disney Plus show The Mandalorian or have been anywhere near a social media platform in the last month, you’re probably as obsessed as we are by the tiny, green, wrinkled cutie-pie known as “The Asset” or “The Child.”

Lovingly nicknamed “Baby Yoda” by the Star Wars fandom, this fuzzy-headed, big-eared, 50-year-old space toddler with big dark eyes that stare straight into your soul has captured the hearts of TV viewers, inspired countless memes, and become a pop culture icon.

Despite Baby Yoda’s cuddly appeal, Disney, for whatever reason, appears to have slept on the holiday merchandising bonanza that could have ensued after the character’s arrival. Official Baby Yoda products won’t be available until spring (unless you count a small selection of amateurishly Photoshopped T-shirts and other items rushed out by a few licensed retailers).

An official plush doll is available for preorder but won’t arrive until at least April, while the coveted Funko bobblehead won’t reach consumers until mid-May. This IndieWire story gives some insights into when and why.

For those of us dreaming of a Baby Yoda yuletide, this situation is exactly the opposite of a Christmas miracle.

This notice from the Target website bids consumers to preorder official Baby Yoda items that won’t be available until April or May.

Fortunately, the frog-eating, Force-wielding tike has inspired an outpouring of creativity on the part of fans, who have been churning out art, cosplay, pies and cookies, tattoos, and song parodies, along with a treasure trove of handmade products and original designs celebrating the adopted son of a certain soft Mando.

So whether you’re looking to treat yo’ self this season or give everyone on your list the gift of Baby Yoda, it is totally possible to find the adorable merch you’ve been seeking. To help you, we’ve compiled a handy list of a dozen irresistible items, which we have festively dubbed “12 Days of Baby Yoda.”

From the information we had at the time of this posting, you should receive these items in time for Christmas (with one exception). You’ll want to be quick about ordering because a lot of this stuff is selling out as we speak. So get to it.
